CURRENT POSITIONS 

Commercial Landscape Foreman - North

  • We require a highly skilled landscaper with a keen eye for detail who can deliver a top-level service to our commercial customers. Based from our Northern Yard in Silverdale.

    • Join one of Auckland’s leading landscaping companies
    • Undertake a variety of hard/soft landscaping, & site management responsibilities
    • Work within a busy division focussing on large-scale commercial projects

    Applicants should have:

    • Minimum 3 years practical experience
    • The ability to demonstrate skills based on prior experience in a similar role (examples may be requested)
    • A diverse skillset covering both hard landscaping and soft landscaping
    • A high level of quality to deliver the best service for our customers
    • A good level of personal presentation and reliability
    • The ability to work to time frames, organise a project, and complete it on time and to budget.
    • Good communication skills and positive attitude
    • A full, current drivers license

    Tasks include:

    • Construction of built elements (retaining, blockwork, fencing)
    • Constructing and laying hard surfaces (paving, minor concrete works)
    • Preparing and installing areas of soft landscaping including minor excavations, soil placement, plant set out and installation
    • Preparing and installing turfed/seeded areas including minor excavations, soil placement, turf/ seed installation
    • Installation of basic irrigation systems
    • Operation of all associated plant and equipment

  • Grounds Maintenance Crew - North Shore

    Experienced gardening crew required to join our maintenance team in both Team Leader and Gardener positions.

    This is based on the North Shore to undertake maintenance contracts in our North and West portfolios. This includes work on a variety of sites encompassing all aspects of garden maintenance with some associated lawn and site maintenance as well.

    Applicants will be considered on the following attributes:

    • prior experience in garden care and/or amenity horticulture
    • practical knowledge of operating associated plant and equipment and safe work practises
    • ability to work autonomously to set schedules whilst delivering a high-quality service
    • good level of personal presentation
    • a positive attitude and easy going personality
    • a full, current drivers license
    • Growsafe/Approved Handler or industry qualification preferred

    Applicants must be reliable and enjoy working outdoors.  Work is physical so a good level of health and fitness is required.

    HT Driver / Operator

    Mace Landscape Group are seeking an experienced HT Driver / Machine Operator to join our team. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise in a driving/operating based role, while working as part of a team and learning new skills on a variety of sites.

    Ideally, you will have

  • Good level of driving / operating competency (sites include construction sites and some sites with restricted access)
  • Good level of responsibility for the care and routine maintenance of all plant & equipment
  • Willingness to undertake manual duties onsite to help with the installation of landscaping projects
  • Good knowledge of greater Auckland area
  • Full license (Class 2) and clean driving record
  • Positive attitude and easy going personality to work as part of a team
  • Experience in the operation of diggers up to 4t and tracked bobcats (WTR certification would be an advantage)
  • Good level of responsibility for the care and routine maintenance of all plant & equipment
